Ryan Schlader: The REAL Story

...Born and raised in the metropolis of Marble Rock, Iowa (pop. 200-something). After attending Rockford Senior High (in Iowa NOT Illinois ) and NIACC in Mason City, I graduated at the University of Iowa with a double major in Political Science and Communication Studies. After a stint covering the Washington Demon and other sports teams in Washington, Iowa...I came on board at WMT where I've been since 2000. I reside with my wife Julie in Cedar Rapids. We enjoy Woody Allen movies (well, I made her watch them with me), hot sauce on our pizza (well, she doesn't really), and Barbershop harmony. (I'm a
Harmony Hawk and she sings with
Metro Mix). We also are avid fans of the Minnesota Vikings, Chicago Cubs, and Iowa Hawkeyes (actually she married into that, but all is good!)
